GAMEPLAY
There are five parts to the game, each with a story, dialogue and instructions. Follow the instructions (texts with a blue background) and ensure you wait until instructed before opening any envelope. Thoroughly read all the texts and look carefully at all photos provided. There are many small details! It is highly recommended to use the detective charts to keep track of everyone’s whereabouts.
You can choose the difficulty of this game by deciding when and if to review the observations at the end of this booklet:
- Easy (For crime-solving novices)
- Review the observations right after visiting each room. The observations do not provide the full story – you will still need to spend some time deducing where each character was during the crime.
- Easy gameplay is ideal for a younger audience (approximately ages 7 to 8) who needs to be guided through.
- Medium
- Review the observations after concluding your own investigation, to check if you missed anything.
- Medium gameplay is great for most tween players.
- Hard (For crime-solving aficionados)
- Do not review the observations at all. While the story booklet provides a detailed account of the accused person, it will be completely up to you to decipher what the others suspects were up to.
- Hard gameplay is challenging but very rewarding. See how much you can put together yourself!
This game is very interactive and makes a great bonding activity for friend and family. It lasts between 45 min to 90 min, depending on the players.
